Reduce interruption and recovery risk
Identify single points of failure, weak recovery coverage, and dependencies that could stop important work or extend an outage.
IT Infrastructure and Network Assessment
Fixed-fee assessment
Get an evidence-based view of your network, Wi-Fi, backup, recovery, monitoring, and ownership—plus a prioritized roadmap for what to fix now, what to plan, and what to leave alone.
The first conversation confirms fit and scope. It does not commit your organization to implementation or a platform.
Questions this assessment answers
Why the assessment matters
The value is not a longer equipment list. It is knowing where operations are exposed, where technology is creating drag, and which investments deserve attention first.
Identify single points of failure, weak recovery coverage, and dependencies that could stop important work or extend an outage.
Trace slow connections, unstable Wi-Fi, remote-access friction, and recurring support symptoms back to their likely causes.
Evaluate whether connectivity, capacity, segmentation, remote access, and operating practices can support additional people, devices, sites, and workloads.
Define monitoring, lifecycle, administrative access, provider responsibilities, and a sequenced path for retaining, improving, or replacing infrastructure.
When to take a closer look
What we examine
The locations, people, workloads, service expectations, critical dependencies, and operating constraints the infrastructure must support.
Internet services, multiple WAN paths, failover, VPN, policy routing, remote access, and provider responsibilities.
Physical and logical design, VLANs, firewall boundaries, guest and IoT isolation, uplinks, dependencies, and supportability.
Coverage, capacity, interference, access-point placement, configuration consistency, and business-critical client experience.
Capacity, performance, permissions, redundancy, data scrubbing, network connectivity, power protection, and lifecycle.
Backup coverage for endpoints, servers, virtual machines, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams, and supported SaaS workloads.
Snapshots, replication, versioned backup, off-site copies, retention, recovery objectives, and restoration testing.
Monitoring, alerts, documentation, administrative access, firmware, lifecycle, escalation, and accountable provider roles.
What you receive
The assessment turns current-state evidence into clear priorities, a shared target design, accountable operating practices, and a sequenced path forward.
A shared view of network, connectivity, storage, protected workloads, dependencies, and operating ownership.
Prioritized evidence across connectivity, wireless, storage, backup, recovery, lifecycle, visibility, and supportability.
Documented decisions to retain, improve, adopt, limit, or replace infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
A practical design for network, segmentation, storage, backup, dependencies, management boundaries, and support.
Recovery objectives, retention requirements, secondary-copy design, test scenarios, evidence, and accountable owners.
Monitoring, alerts, documentation, administrative access, firmware, capacity review, replacement, and escalation practices.
Sequenced stabilization, migration, modernization, documentation, and ownership actions with delivery boundaries.
Recommendations distinguish what deserves attention now, what belongs in a planned roadmap, and what can responsibly remain in place.
How the assessment works
The work begins with the business conditions and available evidence, then turns findings into priorities and a practical path forward.
Confirm business priorities, critical work, known concerns, locations, systems, providers, documentation, and available performance or recovery evidence.
Evaluate dependencies, failure exposure, capacity, security boundaries, backup and recovery, operational friction, lifecycle, and ownership.
Deliver prioritized findings and a roadmap that distinguishes immediate stabilization, planned improvement, responsible retention, and separately scoped implementation.
A first-class paid assessment
The first conversation is a brief no-cost fit and scope discussion. Evidence collection, analysis, scoring, findings, and roadmapping begin only after a written scope and fixed fee are approved.
The completed assessment organizes the material findings, risks, responsibilities, decisions, and sequenced roadmap so leadership can act with an internal team, Carolina Technology Pros, an existing provider, or another qualified provider. Implementation is optional, priced separately, and the assessment fee is not an implementation deposit or automatic credit.
Possible modernization foundations
The assessment does not begin with a predetermined replacement. It may retain the current environment, recommend another architecture, or identify UniFi and Synology as complementary foundations when requirements, supportability, and recovery needs confirm the fit.
Possible network foundation
A unified option for business connectivity, segmentation, visibility, remote access, and controlled expansion when the assessment confirms fit.
Possible data-protection foundation
A storage, backup, and recovery option for small and midsize organizations when capacity, workload, support, and recovery requirements align.
Fit follows evidence
Carolina Technology Pros may retain the current environment or recommend another architecture when capacity, performance, technical-control needs, application certification, vendor support, integration, availability, recovery objectives, or established standards outweigh these options.
From diagnosis to delivery
The assessment identifies the responsible path forward. Implementation is not assumed and is scoped separately only after the findings, priorities, dependencies, and ownership are clear.
